Welcome to the information page for 2027 OMA Championships.
27th January – 31st January 2027
OMA would like to acknowledge New Zealand Masters Athletics, Athletics Canterbury and Canterbury Masters Athletics for jointly hosting the 2027 event.
All inquires can be directed to the LOC representative – ANDREW STARK
Draft Schedule of Events
The draft schedule of events is NOT expected to change. Once entries close, the number of throwing groups will be determined and a timed programme created, available on AthleticLIVE. Our aim is to create field events group sizes of no more than 12.
DRAFT SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
(as at May 2026)
It is a continual challenge to have enough officials to offer all events. Therefore, given the small number of competitors who competed in the non-stadia events in 2025, the LOC for OMA2027 have replaced the non-stadia events with a 3000m race & a 3000m track walk.
Registration
The online registration process will be handled using AthleticNET. More information about this process and other important features of AthleticNET will be added to be website soon.
AthleticNET & AthleticLIVE: In Brisbane for OMA2025 we used AthleticLIVE to display live results during the Championships. At the OMA2027 event we will be using AthleticNET for registration and data collection & scratchings, plus AthleticLIVE to display the seeded programme, start times and results. Please read the following PDFs to understand AthleticNET, before you register for the Championships.
